Energy Solution Analyst - Data Modeling

As part of our renewables business, C&I Solutions specializes in helping commercial and industrial clients transition to sustainable energy through customized, scalable solutions. Our team works with businesses to implement comprehensive renewable energy systems - from solar installations and wind turbines to EV charging infrastructure - while ensuring minimal disruption to their operations and maximum return on investment.

To develop the new activities – Bess and EMS, we are hiring a seasoned Energy Solution Analyst to support Virya Energy’s growth in Europe (notably Belgium, France and Poland).

You will contribute to the development by transforming complex energy data into actionable insights and concrete designs for commercial clients. These include solar PV, onshore wind, EV charging infrastructure, battery storage, and energy optimization solutions.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Data modeling:

·   Structuring, analyzing and predicting data to support more efficient and sustainable energy solutions.

·   Designing models to turn data into useful insights for optimization and innovation.

System Design and Sizing:

·       Analyze the energy needs of industrial clients.

·       Design and size PV and energy storage systems.

·       Select suitable equipment.

·       Develop single line diagrams and layout plans.

Economic and Financial Analysis:

·       Conduct feasibility studies for PV and storage projects.

·       Calculate economic gains and develop financial models.

Innovative Energy Solutions:

·       Monitor new technologies and market developments.

·       Evaluate and compare energy offerings.

·       Conduct feasibility studies.

Technical Support and Client Relations:

·       Provide technical support to the sales team.

·       Present technical solutions to clients.

·       Develop technical and financial offers.

Project Monitoring and Collaboration:

·       Collaborate with internal teams for successful project execution.

·       Monitor projects and resolve technical issues.

• At least 2 years company experience in modeling energy systems.

• Good understanding of the operational and strategic context of renewable energy systems: photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy management systems (EMS). Knowledge of battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a plus!

• Engineering degree in Energy, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Able to design and simulate solutions with minimal supervision.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Autonomy, rigor, initiative, and ability to work in a team.

• Fluent both in English and French. (Knowledge of Dutch or Polish is a plus)

• Resident of Belgium or France and you have a valid work permit. (Localistion of the job: Belgium or France)
